EQUAL HOUSING

We support the federal Fair Housing Act.

Jon Hegreness and Howe Realty offer real estate services without regard to race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familial status, or national origin.

The Fair Housing Act

Title VIII of the Civil Rights Act of 1968, as amended, prohibits discrimination in the sale, rental, and financing of dwellings, and in other housing-related transactions, based on race, color, religion, sex (including gender identity and sexual orientation), familial status, national origin, or disability. Arizona law extends similar protections.

In practice, that means buyers and sellers working with this office can expect equal access to properties, financing referrals, neighborhood information, and offer negotiation. We describe properties and locations by their physical attributes and amenities, never by the demographic character of their residents.

How to file a complaint

If you believe you have experienced housing discrimination, you can file a complaint directly with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). HUD investigates at no cost to you and your identity is protected during the inquiry.

Accessibility commitment

This site is built and maintained with WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility goals in mind, including keyboard-only navigation, sufficient color contrast against the ivory-on-graphite palette, descriptive alternative text on imagery, and form labels associated with their inputs.
